Restorative Dentistry Melrose

Craftsmanship That Serves Your Oral Health

If you have a broken, decayed, or cracked tooth, you only want to have to fix it once. No one wants to get a crown only to need to revisit the dentist six months later because it looks bad, feels bad, or both. That’s why we partner with an accomplished artisan who personally makes every crown we place. That way, when you come to Melrose Dental Group, you can expect a beautiful repair that will also stand the test of time.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Tooth-colored fillings are crafted from a safe, strong, natural-looking composite resin made of ceramic and plastic compounds. What’s more, they can be done in one visit in most cases! Once the decay is removed from the tooth, it is filled with this composite material and hardened immediately afterwards. Composite resin is designed to resemble the look and feel of natural tooth structure, offering a durable restoration. Modern composite resins are also strong enough to be used for restorations on molars, where bite force from chewing is higher.

Dental Crowns

A crown is a dental restoration that completely covers the visible portion of a tooth. They are frequently used to restore teeth that are severely worn down or decayed, fractured, or weakened by multiple restorations or following root canal procedures. Dental crowns can also be used for purely cosmetic reasons in cases when teeth have extensive stains, surface damage, or are misshapen.

We collaborate with dental ceramic artisan, Yuki Momma, so each of our crowns comes from true craftsmanship. Same-day crowns don’t look, function, or endure like ours because they haven’t had the same time, attention, and skill put into them. We believe this is the quality that our patients deserve, and the extra time we spend is time you don’t have to sit in the dental chair as the years go by.
